The clothes that you donate are given directly to the people we serve. We ask that clothing donations be in excellent condition, stylish and ready to wear by our clients. There is a huge need for plus size men's and women's clothing on a year-round basis. Please use the following guidelines for clothing donations:

  • Casual and professional men's, women's & teen clothing
  • Must be clean and pressed
  • Must be on hangers - no bags or boxes*
  • No broken zippers, missing buttons, tears or stains
  • Purses and shoes in good condition
  • Men & women's accessories (scarves, belts, earrings, necklaces, shoes, & ties) are always greatly needed
  • New packages of panty hose and men's boxers are accepted.
  • Unopened personal care products and travel size personal care products are accepted.

* While we always appreciate your interest in helping our clients get back to work, Working Wardrobes is unable to accept clothing donation arriving in bags or boxes. Why is this policy strictly adhered to? We're glad you asked!

  • We do not have a dry cleaner! Clothing donations put in bags are often wrinkled beyond use.
  • Our volunteers are working hard! Our great volunteers are already working long hours to quality check, sort and tag our donations. When arriving in bags, clothing takes a much longer time to sort through, fluff and hang! We just don't have the volunteer resources to accommodate these donations.
  • We're making our dollar go far! In order to ensure .90 cents of every dollar goes toward client services, we are very careful with our resources. Providing thousands of hangers for items donated in bags becomes cost prohibitive.
  • Your donations are being put to work! Please remember that your clothing donation may be heading to a job interview the very day it arrives! It's very important donations come to us in the same manner that you would wear it to a job interview... likely not pulled wrinkled from a bag or covered in stains. Thanks for caring about our clients. You share in their successes!
