Veteran's Success EventCamp Pendleton -- June 14, 2008 Photos by Tahlia Essman beginning the dayOn Flag Day, June 14th, Working Wardrobes took over a portion of Camp Pendleton's Family Services department to set-up a full wardrobing department and workshop classrooms. The day began with the arrival of 50 Marines transitioning out of the military into the civilian workforce, and a wonderful barbeque lunch!
Workshops & TrainingAll participants began the day with a motivational workshop led by Rafael Natale; and participated in a very popular employer panel which included veterans who have acheived success in the business world, hiring professionals and CEOs; additionally, to prepare for their new wardrobe, the men participated in a "Power of Your Image" workshop. We've already received great feedback! "This day will definitely help me dress correctly for interviews and to know what employers are wanting!" shared Sgt. Layer, and our favorite feedback so far came two weeks after the event from Sgt. Somerville, "This information has already helped me at an interview, cause I just got the job!"
Finding the perfect fitGetting the job starts with making a great first impression! Each Marine received an interview suit and a few outfits to help them get started in the workplace. "This event will definately help me for job interviews... Now i have a wonderful suit. I will be able to dress very nice and not spend a whole paycheck on it. Thank you very much," LCpl Palasz,
