Volunteer Opportunities at Working Wardrobes

According to the Corporation for National and Community Service, the U.S. volunteering rate has remained unchanged from 2003 to 2005. In comparison, not only has our number of volunteers increased at Working Wardrobes, but our volunteers have earned us bragging rights! We at Working Wardrobes are very, very thankful and grateful! To all of our extraordinary volunteers-we salute you!!!

As a volunteer, you'll experience a life changing opportunity as you help women, men and at-risk teens who are emerging from life crises and have begun their journey to self-sufficiency. Volunteering is a great way to become empowered, build friendships, increase employee morale and boost team spirit. If you have a specific talent or interest, we want to find the perfect connection for you!

Following is a brief overview of the volunteer opportunities that await you.

Working Wardrobes also has internships available. For more information on internship opportunities, please call (714) 210-2460 or email info@workingwardrobes.org.

Volunteer in the Spotlight

Sally Tran
Sally Tran

She is the cheerful, ready-to-help-you voice that you often hear when calling Working Wardrobes, and many easily confuse her as a staff member! Sally Tran is one of our star office volunteers, who accepted a two year special events internship position. She comes to Working Wardrobes from Chapman University where she is working on her business management major and serves as the service chair for Alpha Kappa Psi.

For the last three months, she has worked very closely with the staff and volunteers, and has come to love what Working Wardrobes has done for its clients. Her first major event was the sixth annual Cinderella's for Life prom event where she was an integral member of the team, contacting and updating volunteers with event information, setting up displays, and distributing gift bags.

She has never met a more dedicated or talented staff. "It is great to be able to work for an organization that not only gives me the opportunity to obtain skills that I need to become successful at my future career, but to also make a difference in the lives of other people," shared Sally. "I feel Working Wardrobes has so much to offer people, and I'm very grateful to have had the chance to be a part of this organization."
