On Wednesday, February 2, Working Wardrobes commemorated the two-year anniversary of the devastating, 4-alarm fire that destroyed our Career Success Center & Donation Center in Irvine on Kettering, and celebrated the rebuilding journey that has taken place since then. During the event, there was a presentation of Colors, performed by the Camp Pendleton Weapons and Field Training Battalion Color Guard, and the singing of our National Anthem by Cantor Natalie Young from Temple Beth El of South Orange County, the Samueli Center for Progressive Judaism. Director of the VetNet Program, Michael Barrett, on behalf of the 1st Marine Division Commanding General, presented the token of appreciation to Working Wardrobes.
About VetNet
The Working Wardrobes VetNet Program supports transitioning active-duty service members, Veterans, and their families with full wrap-around workforce readiness employment-based programs and services through our Veteran Behavioral Health and Peer Support Services (VBHPSS) contract. The Working Wardrobes VetNet Program has served to transition active duty service members, Veterans, and their spouses since 2012. Of which, we have made a tremendous impact in support of Marines, Sailors, and families aboard Camp Pendleton for many years.
We recently hosted our annual one-day PowerUp for Success event in support of 100 transitioning Marines aboard Camp Pendleton. Services included military to civilian workforce transition workshops, a career panel, job fair and professional wardrobe services, where each attending Marine received a Success Suit. Here is an overview of last year’s event.

In recognition of their provision of workforce readiness employment-based programs and services to transitioning Marines, Sailors, and their families, easing the challenges of the military to civilian transition and achieving successful employment placement after completing military service.
The flag was presented to honor the way that Working Wardrobes has provided workforce readiness employment-based programs and services to transitioning service members.
