VetNet Scores with Orange County Soccer Club Partnership!
We are excited to announce the kick-off of a new partnership between the Working Wardrobes VetNet Program, the Orange County Soccer Club (OCSC), and the Embassy of the State of Qatar to the United States!
The partnership is part of the State of Qatar’s ongoing commitment to the U.S. military and its families. It launches a series of new programming led by the OCSC Foundation, with support from the Embassy, which is designed to celebrate and support active-duty military, veterans, and their families in Southern California.
We’re so pleased that the OCSC and the Embassy of the State of Qatar to the United States will be contributing sponsors for our Working Wardrobes VetNet Program Power Up for Success event at Camp Pendleton this October.
This important, transformational event provides 150 active-duty service members with tools and resources to support their professional success as they get ready to make the transition to civilian life. The day includes a variety of services, such as confidence-building exercises and empowerment, an employer panel, workshops, and professional wardrobe selection.
July 17th was OCSC’s Military Appreciation Night. VetNet Director, Michael Barrett, and Lisa Keston, Executive Director of OCSC Community Foundation were invited on the field for a presentation to the Deputy Consul General of the Embassy of the State of Qatar to the United States.
This partnership empowers us as we will have the opportunity to serve even more military veterans and families with effective job training and supportive services that will help them to reintegrate into civilian life, utilize skills gained through their military service, secure employment, and achieve economic self-sufficiency and success. We very much look forward to this important partnership to serve active-duty military, veterans, and their families.
